Officially began in 1860, Steele County Fair is a 6-day fair scheduled to be held from August 18, 2026 (Tuesday) to August 23, 2026 (Sunday) at the Steele County Fairgrounds in Owatonna, Minnesota and organized by Steele County Agricultural Society. Over 300,000 people around the region are expected to visit the fair. It offers agricultural and educational events, various competitions and contests, over 400 commercial and food vendors, and fun for the whole family. People of all ages will enjoy some good clean entertainment, eat first-rate food prepared by local cooks, and view some great exhibits. This year, the fair will celebrate its 166th anniversary.
