Started in 1853, Illinois State Fair is a 11-day fair set to be held on Aug 13-23, 2026 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds which is located in Springfield, Illinois and organized by Illinois State Fair Board. The fair attracts over 720,000 visitors around the region. It features educational and agricultural events, various competitions and contests, and fun for the whole family. People of all ages will enjoy some good clean entertainment, eat first-rate food prepared by local cooks, and view some great exhibits. This year, the fair will celebrate its 173rd anniversary.
