Founded in 1945, Central States Fair is a 9-day fair scheduled to be held from August 21, 2026 (Friday) to August 29, 2026 (Saturday) at the Central States Fairgrounds in Rapid City, South Dakota and organized by Central States Fair, Inc. The fair attracts over 140,000 visitors around the region. It offers agricultural and educational events, various competitions and contests, over 100 commercial and food vendors, and fun for the whole family. People of all ages will enjoy some good clean entertainment, eat first-rate food prepared by local cooks, and view some great exhibits. This year, the fair will celebrate its 81st anniversary.
