Founded in 1858, Buchanan County Fair is a 6-day fair scheduled to be held from July 7, 2026 (Tuesday) to July 12, 2026 (Sunday) at the Buchanan County Fairgrounds in Independence, Iowa and organized by Buchanan County Fair Association. The fair attracts over 20,000 visitors around the region. It offers agricultural and educational events, various competitions and contests, and fun for the whole family. People of all ages will enjoy some good clean entertainment, eat first-rate food prepared by local cooks, and view some great exhibits. This year, the fair will celebrate its 168th anniversary.
