Started in 1939, Gilmer County Fair is a 11-day fair set to be held on Aug 6-16, 2026 at the Gilmer Fairgrounds which is located in Ellijay, Georgia and organized by Ellijay Lions Club. Over 20,000 people around the region are expected to visit the fair. It features educational and agricultural events, various competitions and contests, and fun for the whole family. People of all ages will enjoy some good clean entertainment, eat first-rate food prepared by local cooks, and view some great exhibits. This is the 87th edition of the event.
